I have a backup of Gears of War. I used hjsplit to join all the files. I also ran HKsfv to check the integrity of each segment.

I'm now left with one single file called

dnl-GoW 6,573,177kb file (as in file type just says file)

I have imgburn installed and when i click to open a file, i have to select all files (*.*)to get it up and when i select it i get the following

invalid or unsuported image format.

Aside from the sfv file and the msinfo document there is nothing else in there. The NFO has been posted on here before and gives no idication as to what to do.

I have read so many threads and tutorials im going round in circles.

Please help.

ok first off im sure that only downloaded files come with the nfo file.

( not judging lol)

But could u help me understand your problem, why did u try joining something, im just guessing but it is a raw rip, well if it is then just use the original untouched fiel and use dvd mulleter to get the video.iso then use xbox backup creator to inject it into the raw file, turning it into an iso , set the layerbreak, burn and play.

Or try backing it up again lol.

aside from the svf file and the msinfo file

i had a list of files that were dnl-GoW.001 all the way to dnl-GoW.068. after joining i just have the one file dnl-GoW as stated in the first post.

after searching these forums and other forums the only thing i could find to do with them was rejoin them using hjsplit, which it did with no problem.

I do have xdvd mulleter 8 but i am unsure of what to do with it regarding these files.

NO NO NO

OK mate heres what to do .

1. change the dnl-GoW.001 to .rar
2. download and install WinRAR
3. right click on dnl-GoW.rar ( the one we changed )
4. click extract, it will get so far and you will get a message. Click browse and select dnl-GoW.002 and it will extract all the way to 100%
5. now you have extracted the files you should have 2 new files.
6. The files should be something like IMAGE.000, IMAGE.iso, GoW.iso GoW.000 and the second one will be the same as above but IMAGE.dvd.
7. Now u need to burn the files.
8. i suggest imgburn, its free. Heres the guide.

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?r...ght=imgburn+360

9. once done put in the xbox 360 and play.

ENJOY

( U DO KNOW THAT YOU MUST HAVE A FLASHED OR CHIPPED 360 TO PLAY THESE )

not a problem man, just follow the instructions and u will be fine, just another question tho, do u play online because if u do then u need to stealth the games and if u have iextreme then u will need to stealth them.

I have not yet flashed the 360, its the t/s with m28 firmware. As soon as the via card comes through the post i shall be flashing it with iextreme firware.

I have no plans as such to play xbox live, but i suppose its worth looking at patching it just incase. The console has never been on live at all.

Thanks a lot it extracted a treat, im left with an image.000 file and the dvd file.

I checked it with xdvdmulleter to check for stealth.

1. I selected view iso details
2. opened iso with load from file

It has an Xtreme compatability box, in that all five boxes are checked.

video partition, video data,security sector,pfi,dmi

does this mean it is allready stealthed? i intend to play with iextreme 1.2 firmware.

Thaks again lads and lasses
