I downloaded Need For Speed Carbon (PAL) and the ISO's size was too big to burn (it was 4,736,700,416 bytes compared to the 4,699,979,776 bytes for a "perfect" rawdump)

Searching on the forums is kinda a hit and miss affair, so I'm just posting to inform what I'm trying to do.

I tried burning with different prog's (Nero, IMGburn) and all gave errors that the disc image was too big.

I read somewhere here on the forums about using rawdump to "unscramble". Well, that's what I'm trying right now and it seems to be working. Will post back in a few minutes and let you know if the new image is burnable, and when I get home if the burned image (fingers crossed) works.

If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to post and set me on the right path.

Thanks!

Ya but d/l'ing 4.4Gb takes a while... :)

Update: I just finished unscrambling the PAL ISO in question and lo and behold, the size is what a "perfect" dump should be. I'm gonna burn it and try it at home and let you'se know how it goes.

OK... I have had success!!

Using that PAL download of NFS:Carbon that's too big to burn "normally"

Info: Modchip: WiiKey

BURNING the ISO:
1. Rename the ISO file to .WII (change to .wii extension)
2. Run rawdump2.0
3. Click on "convert raw to iso"
4. Burn the newly created ISO with ImgBurn (or Nero)
5. Use the Wii setup disk v1.2 and change the WiiKey setting to Region Free (or whatever it's called)
6. Reboot the Wii console
7. Insert NFS:Carbon and enjoy
8. BTW, the copy of NFS:Carbon in question is in French.

I tried, but Nero wouldn't let me (was still too big). Thanks for the suggestion though

Hi, this is my first post on here so bare with me. I am fairly new to the burning scene, however I have managed to burn close to 80 games with relatively few problems. I downloaded tiger woods pga tour 08 as an iso file and it is the incorrect file size. The size is 4,700,000,735 bytes and the size on disk is:4,700,004,352 bytes (I'm not sure what the difference is). Anyways falcon I tried your technique, however about 30 seconds into rawdump I get an error message: error unscrambling file. I have tried both .wii and .wod extensions. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated yours was the first post addressing this issue!
