The sony media breifing just ended
but in the middle of it they made one major announce ment
THERES A BRAND NEW PSP
AND FOR THE FIRST TIME THE USA WILL GET NEW COLORS!!!!!
COMING IN SEPTEMBER!!!!
Even chubacca was there to put in a limited edition star wars psp
WITH AN EXCLUSIVE TO PSP STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT

one thing i noticed right away was that the speakers are on the top
but the main stuff is
33% lighter
19% slimer
new lcd

better frame rates(i guess that means all games at 33mhr with out upgrade)
i do not think we will be able to find a useable exploit for a while

lol, i just made a thread about that, it looks nice, i dont know if i would get it, it might not be downgradeable due to the firmware, im pretty sure they'll sell with firmware 3.10 and up, but im not sure, i like the new look tho, it could be what the psp needed to get more people to buy.

You would be paying an extra $169.99 for the same PSP you bought in 2005, except its more fragile than the original PSP.

hahaha. that's very true. Sony is just doing a little 'facelift' to the psp so they could make more money. don't fall for it! it's the same thing! =P

I thought the main reason for redesigning something was to make it look "different?" Hence the word redesign... :S
Anyway, it's nothing too amazing. It's like taking out the chili in a chili dog and putting mustard on it instead.

This is the biggest piece of crap I've seen in a while! They get all this hype going around about a redesign and then they just make it more fragile. The UMD tray looks like it's about to fall off, and there is no IR port! The only thing that's even half cool is the video output, but it sucks because all current PSP owners won't have that. It's just a rip off.

thats only if they havnt got an original psp as well

i may get one but only because i have a 3.40 oea one right now. it looks good enough to keep up with official firmware on

yeah thats wht i was thinkin
cuz all the new game will be runnin at 33 mhz and theres more ram with the new one and since dark alex is done we will not be alble to use all the new stuff in the fws

The UMDs seems that there not even in place! They just knock around evrywhere!

they should have put another analog stick on the right side.
and they should have made the UMD tray a feed-in system or a push in and snap system.
if you already have one, i wouldnt buy this one to replace it....
1. its probably gonna have v3.51 which makes it unsigned codeless.
2. it looks the SAME!!!!!! just minor changes.
3. unsigned codeless
4. no more infared capabilities
5. unsigned codeless
6. it has no curve on the back, which makes it look less comfortable to hold.
7. last but not least UNSIGNED CODELESS!!!!!
your gonna pay another load of cash so you can have a smaller, less comfortable, and homebrewless PSP.
do not buy.

uh, thats gonna be NEVER. sony probably made it so the psp will brick instantly when 1.50 is tried to run on it. new mobo, so nobody will know wat to expect.
