What's the safest way to play backups on 360?

Hello. what do you recommend as the safest and easiest way to play backups? All I really want to do is to back up my games and still be able to play them online. Modchips and firmware are the two main categories correct? I installed a Wiikey but it was scary so I'd rather not do that again.

and how easy is it to get banned from xbox live? If I update or whatever correctly and don't cheat will I be ok? (I don't want to miss out on Halo3)

I think I might just follow that stickied tutorial(the Hitachi flash/backup/burn). Is that a good choice for online play? Also, after the drive is flashed, will I ever have to update it or anything so I don't get banned?

Well theres really no sure safe way when playing backups online. But the best way to stay secure is to use the newest firmware that's released for your particular drive which at this time is the iXtreme firmware which avoids you from being banned (detected) while playing your backups online. Make sure all your games are stealth patched..the new firmware won't let you boot non-stealth backups anyways. Miain 2 things to consider to stay safe are...

1)Make sure your dvd-rom drive has the latest iXtreme firmware

2)Make sure you make stealth bakups containing all 3 bin files (SS, DMI & PFI)
Basically that's it...but it's no guarantee.

Safest way is to always put a condom on the backup before inserting it in.

This question is getting old, your modding your system. There is no "safe" way to play. Your always at risk of getting banned. Always.

now I'm all confused :( what is this kernel you speak of?

I think I might just get a modchip. I don't have any of those flashing materials but I already have soldering stuff I used with my Wii. What is the best modchip out now that has an on/off switch?

and these modchips with switches are 100% safe for xbox live when turned off? So I could play backups with the modchip turned on while disconnected from xbox live, then when I want to play an online game, I take the original out and turn the chip off?? Is this how I should roll? :D
