Every Xtreme firmware says that it boots only stealth xtreme back ups, but nobody seems to know how to do that. Anyone have any info?

very wrong, everyone knows how to do it.

method 1
use Xbox Backup Creator and a Samsung SH-D162C DVD-Rom drive and every back up you make will be stealth.

method 2
if youe get the game from the internet then you will have to use Xbox Backup Creator to test the image file to see if it is stealth, if not you will need to find the needed files and patch it.

Method 1 is by far the best and easiest way to back up your games.

Only the new iXtreme will not boot unstealthed games.
quite a lot of people know how to do this, you must have been searching in the wrong places.
there are a few ways to stealth a game, the easiest being to rip the game properly in the first place, i use a Samsung Sh-D 162C pc drive flashed with Kreon's firmware & Xbox backup creator (XBC) and all my games are stealthed.
if you have an image that is not stealthed then you need to find the files that it is missing and inject them , you can use XBC, Schtrom or XDVD mulleter for this.

you can get a lot of the file sneeded for games from 360patches.com

ahaaa, you just beat me to it Steimy :-)

My bad, I just wasn't finding a lot of info.

I don't have the samsung drive, however I do have a pioneer DVR-111D. Can I make them with this drive? Is there a firmware available somewhere that'll make my drive do that? Also, I'm assuming by necessary files you mean the SS.bin PFI.bin and DMI.bin files correct? How do I either extract those from a game or go about finding them?

no that drive will not be able to rip games like the samsung drive. but you will be able to do the wxripper way and then just download the stealth patches.

cool, do you have any idea how to find DMI.bin and PFI.bin files though, for stealth xtreme backups, and the SS.bin files too, the link in the tut is broken

Trust me, spend the money and get the Samsung drive we just mentioned. It will save you many, many headaches.
It will cost you about the same amount as your first set of DVD+R DL discs, and will pay for itself many times over in the long run.
