Has anyone tried the Xbox 360 wireless controller on the PS3? Is there an adapter out there that lets you do this? I assume it would have to be a USB receiver, like the one for Windows.

Does the button mapping work okay? I realize it would be without Sixaxis support, but the PS3 controller is a little too small.

And would I need the plug n' charge kit? I don't own a 360, so I'm new to this.

well i didnt mean to be negative, but i just typed in "360 controller on ps3" in google and the second option was http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/08/ps3-h...360-controller/
and the third option was
http://news.softpedia.com/news/Download-...PS3-43955.shtml

so im curious how you didn't find what you were looking for.

anyway, you need linux to pull it off, but as far as i know u can't actually play games with it, jsut use it in linux

I saw the Linux stuff, but I want to be able to play PS3 games with the 360 controller, which you can't do under Linux.

I just saw this product, but it's only for PS2.

I saw Ben Heck's mod also, but I don't think he sells it, and he would probably charge an arm for it.

that would be a sweet mod because lets face is the 360 controller is more comfy then the ps3

Lower your flags and march straight back to England, stopping at every home to beg forgiveness for a hundred years of theft, rape, and murder. Do this and your men shall live. Do it not, and every one of you will die today.

Aye, fight and you may die, run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!

Thanks, I actually found a neat alternate PS3 controller, which looks a lot like the original boomerang PS3 design, one that I liked. It looks like it has bigger grips, which is one of my main beefs with the Sixaxis/Dual Shock.

they make a wireless receiver for pc to use xbox products (headset controller) i wonder if i get that receiver plug it into the ps3 and get the 360 wireless mic if that would work on ps2 games since the system should recognize it as usb that would be great for the last remaining months of combined assault
