Well, installed 3.51 M33 in my friends PSP...it looks exactly like Dark_AleX's custom firmware installation method n everything, besiddes it autogenerate the update folder n recovery. It works n some plugins in older custom firmware doesnt work like always. N GTA cheat devices dont work like always.
had same problem wit GTA cheat device ---- AND I FOUND THE ANSWER lol
only works upto 3.03OE-C ..... so that was enough to make me downgrade from 3.40OE-A to 3.03OE-C

So after installing this... what files do I need to leave on my memory stick?
I was on 3.11 upgraded to 3.5 downgraded via lumines to 1.50 and now I am using this special 3.51... Can I erase everything from my memory stick?
BTW can anyone point me to somewhere where a complete newbie can get some knowledge about all of this and stop asking dumb questions... I mean... do I need any other stuff to play nintendo games? psx games? ect?
Just point me the direction and I promisse I won't bother for a while! ;)

u can delete all files
on ya psp goto system settings \ format memory stick
then psp will put all needed files for homebrew and PSX etc

FIRST YOU NEED TO SET THE CORRECT SETTINGS
FULLY SHUT OFF YA PSP (HOLD OFF FOR 10 SECONDS)
TURN IT ON WHILE HOLDING (R) TRIGGER
WELCOME TO RECOVERY MENU
PSP RECOVERY SETTINGS
\CONFIG
Skip SCE Logo = ENABLED (Optional)
Hide Corrupt Icons = ENABLED
Game Folder Homebrew = 1.50 KERNAL
Autorun Program At /PSP/GAME/BOOT/EBOOT.PBP = DISABLED
Use NO-UMD = : ENABLED (If Game Wont Work Then Disable)
: DISABLED (If You Have A UMD In The Drive)
Fake Region = DISABLED
Free UMD Region = ENABLED
\ADVANCED
Plain Modules in UMD/ISO = ENABLED
Execute BOOT.BIN In UMD/ISO = DISABLED
Use ISOFS Driver Also In UMD-Inserted Mode = DISABLED
Now remember :
GAMES (ISO/CSO) Go Into "ms0/ISO" - FOLDER
GAMES (PSX EBOOT) Go Into "ms0/PSP/GAME" - FOLDER
HOMEBREW APPZ (EMULATORS ETC) "ms0/PSP/GAME150" - FOLDER

I have a problem. When I try to run the KXploit Permanent Patcher included, I get a message reading 'Error patching modulemgr (incorrect firmware?).'

M33 custom firmware is used KXploit to install the firmwre, the patcher was used to enable KXploit on firmware 1.50. Custom firmware already have this fix. So...what fw are u on? its only needed for psp fw 1.50

I downgraded from 2.01 to 1.5
I made sure I had these 3 folders in the directory ms0:/psp/game/
kxploitpatcher
kxploitpatcher%
M33CREATOR
then on the psp I went to memory disk and ran the patcher first. when the patch ended, it rebooted psp.
With psp back on I run the M33creator with no problems.

If you can't get it to work just update to 3.40OE-A then update again to M33. But try and get the patcher to work.

i am currently @ 3.03oe-c and am considering the move to 3.51m33. do i need to upgrade to be able to play newer games like Parappa and Madden 08 when released? or am i fine where i am at? and say that i do upgrade, do i need to have MemStick reformatted and full charge as before? thx in advance.

still lots of compatibility issues and plugins that dont work!
3.03OE-C or 3.40OE-A !!
3.51 M33 is a breakthrough i agree but needs work!

in 3.40oe u have a 4th level brightness do u have it on m33, and can u still downgrade like in 3.40oe
