PSP cannot read UMDs...?

My PSP is currently unable to read UMDs, both games and movies. What should I do?

Also, I dropped it in a sink full of water a while back, but I let it dry for about 3 and a half days. That is probably part of the issue.

Any advice is helpful...

Also, is there a way to run UMD backups without having a UMD inside?

Damn in a sink,well anyways your laser probably moved out of place and all you have to do is move it back with a pencil,finger,etc.This is how it should look
