I downloaded a game and burned the image on to a Memorex DVD-R disc and it freezes at the title screen when I start the game. Is there a way to fix this? :/

Hi guys, my PS2 is black and white and the display was suddenly black out. The game can stil continue and the audio is still but no display. May I have your advice on what the problem is? Could it be the display cables or the PS2 console? Please help :)
