Hey ive installed my wiikey but now I cant seem to play originals only backed up games. Anyone had this problem before? or any ideas as to how to fix?

My suggestions, in this order: try changing the media. DVD-R works best; if you use DVD+R, make sure you enable bitsetting/booktyping to DVD-ROM for best compatibility. Second, check soldered points with a multimeter (set to resistance) and redo any questionable solder points (any ones that fail the tug test). I had the same problem and the latter suggestion did the trick.

It plays the backups sweet as eh its the originals that it wont play. Rather weird. Has like a clicking sound when it trys to load legit discs.

have you tried removing the wiikey and see if that works? just remove the power lead...

yea, is your wiikey genuine? or a clone? i installed a clone for a mate and his stopped playing originals, changed it and it worked ....

if you remove the power from the wiikey (one of the 2 big solder pads)

also make sure you dont have any shorts between any of the pads..
