I have psp with FW 3.50 and want to downgrade to 1.50 and i know what i need to do but i have 8gb memory card and i've heard that any version before 2.80 won't be able to recognise it so would it be safe to use the 8gb memory card to do the downgrading or not?

You should probably get a 32 meg just to be safe, I doubt it will work, see if you can borrow one from a friend because waht they charge for them is to high.

Used 32MB cost bout 5$ at gamestop. It will downgrade to 1.50, bu once your there its hard to upgrade if 1.50 wont dectect 8GB...maybe theres a program that will format it to a GB? or maybe it will reconize the card but not the full 8gb?

I've downgraded to 1.50 then upgraded to 3.40OE-A using the 8GB PRO DUO memory stick and works fine... thanks all
