Hi all, I have the starview with the v4 software but was thinking of changing to the eurovox. Can anyone tell me the best type of eurovox to buy or is worth my while. Having no problems withn my starview.

The new eurovox v 2008 is the only one to buy. only released 2 weeks so no clone problems.

The eurovox max update never fails whereas the starview has been stopped from autorolling many times in the past. You only have to check out how many different firmwares have been released for starview. The epg works 100% on eurovox whereas the epg never worked properly on starviews. also the eurovox never has connection problems with the pc as it auto detects the com port. on starview you have to set the correct com port. that is just a few reasons why I would go for eurovox.

IF YOUR STILL ABOUT MATE
I have a Euro Vox max v 2008 And love it
AS you will see from some of my posts my only problem is , i dont get chelsea tv ( but dont care as im a ubnited fan) and rel madrid + xleague tv
But everythign else works fine .. im very very happy with my box
I had a starview anmd hated it gave it back .
This new box is best i have seen ..

Totally agree mate I wouldn't care if all the sports channels dissapeared as long as mutv doesn't dissapear.

i get celtic tv rangers and MUTV but dont get chelsea is there a reason for this

if your cable provider carries the channel then you should be able to receive it.

hi i just got the eurovox 2008 today and my heads melted already, it comes blank and i can't find where to download the correct file for it also i got a cable for connecting it to my cpu for downloading but it doesn't have the proper connection, can anyone be my hero and help me

click on the link at the bottom of my post for all the firmware and loader programs for eurovox. also you will find an easy to understand guide for eurovox. good luck with that.

hey steo, i cant seem to find the file name on the net eurovox_Max-V_02_07_07.bin it keeps asking me to use windows to open but i cant find it in there

You need the dnupman program to load it to the box.

does teh euro vox not come preloaded with the lasst version of the software , which should work.??
I bought mine had to scann all the channels and it worked fine, i changed no software ..
maybe my supplier did this before hand, but i thought th e point of the box was that it could be used without software updating manually .???

Some suppliers send them out with the firmware installed. but most send them out blank for legal reasons.

Ahh ..
can some one tell em how i might find out if the right software is installed on the box .??
But i must say , the box is class , i have every chanel bar ss news,s1 and s/news

v 4.5 is the latest for
ireland and v4.51 is for uk.
but if it is working on a lower firmware version then I would leave well enough alone.

can anybody help me, i have the RS232 Cable thats supposed to go from the eurovox box to my lap top but it hasn't got the right connection for my lap top, i have 2 new lap tops and neither has this connection can anyone help

You need to buy a usb to serial port adapter. Then you can plug in your rs323 cable and flash your eurovox.
