ok first I had a whole line dead.. brought it back to sony and they gave me a new one.
Now I have two dead/stuck pixels what the Friking f*ck !!! 21st century they can't make lcd screens !!
I will try the magic video to fix it and use it full beam on, maybe it's some kind of dust..
If that does not work then sony are going to hear from me.. I am not going to get used to .. idiots ! your lights on your car don't work.. try out for a few weeks if you don't have an accident then it's ok...

LOL!

Yea... those dead pixels are very annoying. That's from the old samsung lcd's. What sony did, is just give you a refurbished psp. To them, under 5 pixel is acceptable, so calling them up probably won't help you.

If you really can't stand it, you might have to fork out some dough for a new Sharp screen. They are brighter and have more view angle, plus no dead pixels.

Anyway, good luck.

#1: 2.81 -> 3.03 -> 3.11 DoH (no more :D)
#2: 1.00 -> 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c
#3: Ceramic white 1.5 -> 3.03oe-c -> 3.40oe
Whatever happens, happens...

Damn sony guys ! can't believe the sneaky guys.. and I was happy to have an extra power cable from the new psp..

So If I don't have more than 5 dead pixels they won't change it ?

Well, it doesn't hurt to try. But I think that's what they stated on their end user policy thingy. I agree, it sucks big time.

I don't think it has a specific name. When you buy it, it should say if it's made by sharp or samsung.

heres a video that can fix stuck pixels. set it to full screen, plug ur psp on its charger, set full screen, turn auto screen off off, and let it run for 10-12 hours. i know, thats a long time, but it should work (worked for me!)
this can also potentially create more, so...ya.

(+[__]%) put this psp in ur siggy. just do it.
PSP Firmware: constantly changing, currently GoldenEye.

Yes thanks I already had that .. or equivalent blinking software..
I left it on all night, about 7 hours but the pixels seem very dead.
I did not turn off the screen saver though.. but I got up in teh middle of the night and it was still blinking so I guess it does not apply to films...

The video will only work on colored pixels (stuck pixels) if yours are totally black, don't even try it.

+1 on the Sharp panels. They're much better than the ones from previous revisions.

If you're really interested to change it, they have them with the backlight module at http://us.emvee.ca/, but it doesnt' come cheap - $50 shipped. It's better than getting it from eBay though, because you're guaranteed a Sharp panel if you buy it from a store.

For this kind of stuff I'd rather buy it in store. It's just less asshole to get support in case of problem. Wouldn't want to receive a sharp screen with already dead pixels ^^

I think my dead pixels are gone ^^',. I don't know they are no so annoying anymore, can't find them anymore.. my eyes must ave put a filter on.. that means I've lost two pixels in my eye sight ^^ ..nooooo..

Like I said, I bought mine a few months ago off http://www.emvee.ca/ They're as good as a local store because they have free shipping. What are you concerned about? I believe they offer warranty on the screen - in fact all authentic LCD replacement retailers should.
