Hey what exactly is the IR shell program
and wat does it do...if seen a lot of people with that homebrew so i really want to know what it really is...

im not really shure i used it once or twice then just got rid of it cuz it used up like 55 MB on my memstick. it does something with the IR port on the PSP.

No-you can boost your processor speed via the recovery console....

IRshell is a homebrew app that can do a number of things like its a file browser for your memory stick-it can be used with codes to control devices like televisions, and dvd players and whatnot...It allows for playing music stored on your psp while playing games-there are quite a bit of functions on there...however its more for advanced users...I have used it also in the past, and it would just freeze up my psp when I would try to run certain functions-so I scrapped it..I imagine the newer versions of IRshell are maybe more stable?

Yo deez nuts i have the ir shell thing but it says it need to patch some file to my flash memory. I have 3.40 OE-A and it says (when im about to patch the file) it says for M33 firmware....so should i upgrade to those russian firmwares or just stick to good old DAX?

You might need to find a lower version of IRshell that doesnt require the patching-unless you really want to upgrade to M33...

3.6 is fine....The patch is just for if you have M33 firmware..It will work with 3.40OE without needing to patch it..

but deez nutz...in the recovery mode where it says run program recover/eboot.pbp

aight so let's just say i wanted to go back to 1.50, when i clicked on it the first time i really brick my psp it worked...but when i click on it now it just loads then the screen stayz black....so can u plz tell how to fix this?

Just power your psp off and on...If theres no eboot in that recovery folder on your memstick, its not going to do anything...So just turn it off, then turn it back on again...

If you power it off, then boot back into recovery mode-toggle the USB mode and see which folder the eboot is in..
Have you tried cycling the power off and on?
