I modded my v79 hitachi drive, but I never went online. I wanted to update it so I could at least until ms finds a way to block this. Anyways, is it possible that there will be a fw that is able to play backups not for the xtreme fw? Since none of mine are, maybe just one or 2. I'm not really an expert in these things

Most likely not, because the firmware requires to read the security information of the disk so that the disk inserted plays near enough as an original would in terms of security. Some firmware already autopatch the security files if its not an xtreme backup, but I dont think that you should play games that are not xtreme backups because they can get you banned in the future, as no one is really sure yet how microsoft really detected the modded consoles, its just theories up to this point.
