I know there are a lot of really smart programmers out there. Has there been any tries to develop a virtual DVD on a PC to play ripped games on a PC. Seems that with a lot of hacking the Wii should be able to play games off a network. The Wii is already set up as a virtual counsel and is on the network. I have seen web pages that clime to display video, pics, and music stored on networked PC's. Was called Media X. Looked to integrate with Media Center.

Sorry with this if it has been discussed. I find as a newbie to the sight search engine will only find the answers if you know what you are looking for.

I know it's kinnda off topic but there is some people saying that a new wii firmware will come out. With this firmware, comes the ability to play dvd. If I were you, I'd just wait till Nintendo releases some sort of software to play dvd's via wii remote.
P.S. Sonic Solutions, makers of the popular Roxio CD- and DVD-burning software, announced that it has been chosen by Nintendo to provide "high-quality DVD movie viewing to a future version" of the Wii. Sonic Solutions says the new version of the Wii is expected in "the latter half of 2007!"
