Alrigt, I've posted this at numerous forums and I cant find what I'm looking for.

Well. I'm looking at a Xbox 360 on eBay that will not read discs. If it was the 3 red lights that would not be a problem but I was wondering If I buy a Certified DVD drive off eBay and put it into the xbox that will not read discs. Will that work? Is there anything that I need to do to make it work?

Depends on what error code the 3 red lights give. The vast majority of the red light errors stem from the gpu/cpu overheating and separating from the mobo. And if that's the case, a new drive won't do nothing to help it.

Oh man, I konw how to fix that. Its just I'm looking at an xbox 360 that Will NOT read Games, So what I want to do is buy another drive and put it into that 360.
