Okay, I am just confusing myself more and more everyday reading through other peoples problems with their roms and would like some help..... I have a softmodded xbox with the unleashX dashboard, I have installed xSNES9x and Surreal64xxx emulators. ftping s not an option to me, so I did all this with cdrw's and dvds. I downloaded the SNES roms that I wanted from justroms.com and I put the on a cdrw. The roms wont copy over to E/xSNES9x/Roms but if I go to DVDmedia option in the emulator menu, they play fine. Is there any way to copy them over to the correct folder to play without a cd in the xbox all the time.
Now for Surreal..... I could only get Goldeneye and Banjo-kazooie to copy over to the roms folder, but when I launch them, they stay on the "loading ROM" screen.
Quite possibly a long file name or illegal character issue.
try renaming the roms to just the name of the game and the .xxx whatever.. not all the (a)![ht] type junk. Then use unleash file manager to copy them to the right directory (in my snes9x it's media/snes9x/roms in the emu folder)
Same with surreal64, plus you have to refresh the roms list by clicking the arrow in the bottom left of the main rom screen.
Okay after some hours, I finally erased Surreal from my edrive, then reinstalled it, WITH THE EDITED INI FILE!!! BUT UNDER MY TDATA folder, IT STILL SAYS RomPath=D:\Roms...... any suggestions PLZZZ!!!!!!!

This was fixed but still not playing. My .ini reads Rom Path=E:\Emulators\Surreal64 XXX\Roms\ and Media Path=E:\Emulators\Surreal64 XXX\Media\
