I have a hacked 360 but i want the hd dvd software update. If i sign on to live and just ownload the update with out playing a burned game will it still ban my 360 after when i play a burned game offline? Thanks
Forgot to mention that my drive is a hitachi. Do they see that your drive is hack even if you dont play a burned game? thanks again.

You can download the firmware upgrades and burn them as image for use in your drive.

yes i found that also awhile ago but i want the spring update for my 360 and the july software update for my hd dvd player. can i go on live and update without getting banned? I will be using a original game in the 360 and a hd dvd movie in the hd drive to update. thanks

you can download the spring update aswell. The link i gave was the newest firmware upgrade for the hd-dvd add on. I found the spring update page in the same area.
