PSP Memory sticks... please HELP!!

I have recently got a 8 GB mem stick and have put some games and pictures on it... but only 4 games are shown and the pictures come up as corrupt... can anybody help me??????????????... plz

Where'd you get the stick?

I hate to say it to you but you may have gotten yourself a fake MSPD; they often have difficulty transferring data.

Another problem might be that (correct me if I'm wrong) but I don't think that the PSP supports memory card sizes above 4 GB yet.

PSPs with firmware higher than 2.80 are able to read memory sticks with capacity of more than 4GB. That couldn't be the problem, unless your firmware is 2.80 or below. I think XEnigmaX is right; your memory stick could be fake.

i hav the custom firmware 3.4 oe... how would i check it is fake? it seems to hold 8 gig of stuff...

To check if it's fake or not:

1st: Scroll to either Music or Video on your XMB (PSP Menu) and push triangle on the Memory Stick icon.

2nd: Click on Information.

3rd: Under MagicGate check if it says Supported. If it does not say Supported then the stick is a fake.
