clarification: is it possible to copy originals and play without using crack?

I just wondering if I can get some clarification on a point.
this 'sheep' thing, are you saying we can now copy original CD's and not need to use a crack if we want to play using them?

I've been backing up pc protected games for over 4 years m8. Basically you need the right hardware (cd burner) and software such as Alcohol 120%, CloneCD or Blindwrite Suite. Below is a link to a list of "2 sheep burners". 2 sheep burners write regular bit patterns correctly as "1 sheep burners" write regular bit patterns almost correctly (EFM encoding) . "Sheep" is in referance to CloneCD (Elby) logo, now owned by Slysoft.

ok, i may have a Teac I can use, but what about the Sony DRU500ax? (my dvd/cd writer)
it's not mentioned...
edit: so I may be able to do away with all of those blasted cracks and get a 1:1copy of my stuff?
