ma friend bricked his psp because he was upgrading 1.5 to 3.40 oe nd it shut off right in the middle of it so i was wondering if i can give him my mother board and when it starts working take my mother bord back and he uses his mother board is that possible

pls help

Nope, just because you trade motherboards doesn't change the fact that the flash is trashed.

it will cost u 90 for the chip (approx) and can get it professionally installed for another 50 (approx) so itll cost u about as much as a new psp, but u will never worry about bricking or have homebrew woes again
