Hey guys !
i have a problem !
i got my psp and everything i got music pics videos etc etc
then i try to play ONLINE and when i got on it asked me if i wanted to upgrade so i said yes and it did.... to 3.51 O.o :(
then i found out about the downgrade and the thing u could do if u do it.... i read the tut on how to do it but its for 3.50 only and i tried to do it anyways but it didnt work... so i guess i needed to be 3.50 before updating it to 3.51
is there anyway to fix it ? i mean to get to 3.50 ? is there a downgrader that does it ?

"We won't be creating a v3.51 downgrader, not for a long time. If you upgraded to v3.51 you're either stupid or unlucky. Sorry for that."
Straight from noobz mouth.

No. Its best if you downgrade and upgrade to custom firmware. Cause then you can run homebrew and ISO's and lots of other great stuff. And iori666, why dont you upgrade to custom firmware, its lots easier to run ISO's and stuff.

Well you can get the custom firmware from http://dl.qj.net Go to the PSP section, then the Firmwares section and download either 3.03oe-c [my favorite] 3.40oe-a or 3.51 M33 [the newest]. All are good custom firmwares. Or you can google 3.03oe-c, 3.40oe-a or 3.51M33 WinStaller. That will install them for you. And putting pics and music on there, are you putting them in the PICTURE folder and the MUSIC folder?

You could also get the custom firmware in my sig...but w/e
About that video/photo/music thing, dont worry about it, it will be fix when u are on custom firmware.
In higher firmwares Sony have added more folders. In 1.50 the pictures have to go in PSP/PHOTO.(maybe pictures?). Music had to go in PSP/MUSIC and video has to go in \MP_ROOT\100MNV01. But in higher firmwares, sony added the video folder extra picture/music folders. After you upgrade there will be more support on pictures, videos, and music files.

Hey guys !!!
i did the costume firmware thing to 3.40 oe-a and now it read my pics and music and videos.... and even shows me the icons for some isos i downloaded, now when i try to load an iso (need for speed) it gives me an error that says "the game could not be started (80020321)"
i dont know what it means, first i thought the game was damaged but i got another iso (armed arms) and it says the same thing
what could be, my only guess is that i did the costume firmware wrong
should i do it over again ?

You should upgrade to 3.51 M33, since they have more ISO compabiblity... http://rapidshare.com/files/44407734/PSP_3.51_M33_7_firmware.zip
All you have to do is put in a UMD in the PSP, doesnt matter what UMD, just a UMD.
Or you copuld do this
Shutdown PSP
Turn on PSP holding R
Recovery menu should appear
Go to configuration
Go to NO UMD option and enable it
Exit.
no umd is require, but it does not work with all games, especially large iso/cso size.
If you are on 3.51 M33 enable NO UMD with Sony np9660
almost all No UMD will work (this is good because u do not need to damage your PSP laser as much.)

To iori666, BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT THIS, ANYTHING THAT RENDERS YOUR FLASH0 MAY BRICK OR SEMI-BRICK YOUR PSP IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Sry to make it look like yelling, but making sure the warning is taken seriously, just please before you attempt this, BACK-UP your flash0 files!!
Now to change your gameboots, make sure your gameboot is not bigger than 1mb, it may not work. You will need to be in your flash0 folder witch you can only access in recovery mode (check vcbc post earlier on how to access your Recovery Menu).
Now once inside the Recovery Menu, scroll down to Advanced, from here connect your USB cable to your PSP and then click 'Toggle Flash0' on your PSP. Now once in there, go into your 'vsh' folder, then go into your 'resource' folder, now take the 'gameboot.pmf' (make sure the file is named as that) and copy it into that folder. if you need extra space, then AS LONG AS YOU DONT USE JAPANESE GAMES, you can modify a font file that takes up 1mb (actually 999kb), find that file in the 'font' folder located in the root of the 'flash0' folder. Once you open the 'font' folder, theres a file named 'gb3s1518.bwfon', now open that file in wordpad (or notepad) and delete ALL the text in there (not the actual file, just whats in it). That should free up enough space to do what u want.
And to aftrdrawn, use 1.50 recovery winstaller, its simple as it explains everything step by step, here is the link to the 1.50 Recovery Here. You shouldnt have any probs with it.
Let us know if you need anymore help, and remember to always make a BACKUP of your flash for future references ;)
