Why can't I uninstall 1.62

I upgraded to 1.62 custom firmware like an idiot,it bricked and now I can't uninstall!!!! I can get into recovery and I keep trying the recovery.zip i found online but nothing happens!!! Has anyone else seen this problem. HELP!!!!! I miss my psp and it misses me!!!!!

have you actualy tried un-zipping the recovery.zip? when you have done that you place it it PSP/GAME/RECOVERY But i dont understand why you wanted CFW 1.62???

I had 3.40 oe and the vshmain.prx was corrupted so I installed 1.62 just to see what is was like, immediately wishing I hadn't. Of course I unzipped the folder thats not the problem, when I run the recovery the screen just goes black then shuts off, wtf is this recovery for if it doesn't even work. I curse who ever designed 1.62!!!!!!!
