I was playing a Dynasty warriors CSO on my psp, and i put it in sleep mode to charge. I wanted to check my battery level percentage, so I pressed home and quit. The screen blanked, and the psp won't turn on. Please help. I can still access recovery.

I backed-up the entire flash 0, because I did some xmb customization.
Also, I realised what happened now. After my XMb customization, i flashed a new background, which was about 355kb. i think that took up too much flash space, and bricked me. What idiot company would let that happen.
And mrmcman, i tried your idea, but, alas, to no avail. thanks anyway.

Thanks for the link. So all I do is reflash my original flash 0, and it should work, or do i need to recover to 1.5?

I think that may be the problem.

Erm.... To quote punk band Dead kennedys, I've got a bigger problem now.
When I try to enable flash 0 usb in recovery, the psp crashes and turns itself off.
This sounds very bad to me, but this is my first brick, so I don't know. Shall I just recover to 1.5 or what?

whenever i try to access usb at all, my psp freezes and shuts off. This does not leave me very hopefull for my recovery reflash back to 1.5. I really don't want my psp to freeze and shut down while downgrading, because that would leave me with a full brick, would it not.

Try putting a memory stick in your PSP. Whenever I don't have one in it crashes when trying to enable Flash0 in recovery.
I = UNPWNABLE.

Thanks. That fixed my problem. I reflashed my original XMB, and now it works. I need to know how to completely remove a wallpaper from the flash memory now so I can put my custom stuff back on.
