My point exactly, I don't think any other languages out there have as many different accents or "versions" of itself. The english in the U.S. seems to have a different accent for each state. From there it seems each country has its own accent for english as well.

I can see different countries having there "own" accent but its crazy how each state has its own (or seems to) accent.

Peace

Here's a bitch:

Man Builds Guillotine to Kill Himself

ALLEN PARK, Mich. - The body of a 41-year-old man was found in a wooded area next to a guillotine he built and used to kill himself, police said. The man, from the Detroit suburb of Melvindale, was discovered Monday by workers from a shopping center near his home.

Allen Park Deputy Police Chief Dale Covert said the roughly six-foot tall guillotine was bolted to a tree and included a swing arm. Covert said police also found several store receipts detailing the materials used to assemble the device.

"I can't even tell you how long it must have taken him to construct," he said. "This man obviously was very determined to end his life."

Soldier Helped by People He's Never Met
By Associated Press

MODESTO, Calif. - A soldier who was charged with beating a man he thought was assaulting two strangers was, in turn, bailed out of jail by people he'd never met, and now has an attorney who volunteered to work for free.
Matthew Nicholson, 22, an Army private first class based in Fort Campbell, Ky., was taking a walk with his sisters and girlfriend on Sept. 1 when a boy ran up to them saying his father was hurting his mother and grandmother. The group followed the boy to his home. The door was open and adults were arguing inside, Nicholson said.
He walked in, and confronted Martin Lemas, who was inside with two women. The situation escalated, the police came, and Nicholson was arrested on a felony charge of assault while Lemas, 35, got medical treatment for bruises and a bleeding lip.
Lemas' mother later told police they'd been drinking and got into a fight. But neither woman pressed charges, so Lemas was not arrested.
On Monday a lawyer who'd heard of Nicholson's situation and believed he tried to do the right thing came to offer her services. That same day, a group of local residents who'd heard Nicholson's story paid his bail.
The district attorney's office said most cases like this are dismissed or end in a plea bargain. But if he's convicted, Nicholson could spend a year in county jail or as long as four years in state prison.
But given the choice, Nicholson said he'd do it all over again.
"I think I did the right thing, but that's for the court to decide," he said.

When you've got a clue, you can whine ^^

Anyhow, a real bitch. About 2 hours ago, I was signed into Msn and everything was hunky dory. I return to the computer, attempt to sign on to Msn and get prompted with this...

WTF is that about? How much more controlling do the Micro-Nazis want to get? If I want to use Msn 7 [point] f**king 5 I damn well will!

/me huffs and puffs before realisation that unless he finds a workabout or otherwise, he will have to update to WLM.

I've got more than a clue. Those trying to make trouble and putting down others shows the forming of an elitist group, much as Janrocks' neo-Nazis.

my bitch is.. some people take things that occur on the internet too seriously and blow things out of proportion. it's like every little thing that happens is affecting their life. apart from people who own/ run a website like the staffers and the admins, I don't believe anyone's got an excuse for living on a site other than being a complete no-lifer.

some things that people do and the way people act in here do piss me off from time-to-time. however, once i log off, it is forgotten for me. my life is busy enough without worrying about internet grudges and other irrelevent happenings.

people need to realise that this isn't real life. debates on tech related topics are great and sometimes the banter is nice, but some people go overboard and instigate the type of crap that a tech site such as this does not need.

Well, the good times and civility were great while they lasted. As it applies to the majority of us, a return to the recent past which drove away some really good people is a serious boil on the a$$ of the site's recent progress.

My Bitch:
On my way to work this morning, I saw an accident with cops and ambulances. Not an uncommon site in Philly's rush hour. When I got to work and listened to the news, a woman was walking down the street with her ear-buds blasting and her two toddlers walking behind her totally out of her sight. One of the kids ran into the street and got killed. She actually didn't even notice until someone stopped her. Her a$$ is now in jail and I hope she rots there.

Thats ignorant of her. If she is going to be walking around with her kids and listening to music at the same time they should have been in front of her.

I wonder how old the kids were.

Hey Pop_Smith ... how are you guy? I haven't been around much because of work so I haven't been able to keep up on the goings on. I don't know how old the kids were, though I'm sure they said it. I know they were toddlers though. People like that should be neutered. Any way, I hope you're well and I hope everythings been going well with the recent plans ... real estate and other things you written about!

I watch the toddlers when they play in the yard. Can't see anyone callous enough or stipid enough (maybe both) to let toddlers wander unattended on a street with traffic. They can move faster than most adults, even when you have an eye on them. Whatever the woman gets in court, it won't be enough.

@gerry1 hey buddy :-) Yeah things have been going ok. I have a fellow at my work that is looking into getting a house so I am going to hopefully help him with it starting next week. Other then that nothing else (except training) has gone on with Real Estate.
How are things going with you?

So, happiness of tonight:
I just stopped by the Kung Fu Club tonight and I am going to get signed up on Saturday. I was gonna signup tonight but they closed about fifteen minutes after I got home (even though its only 5 minutes away) and and my mom didn't want to run back over there tonight. So that means I am going to get signed up on Saturday.

Peace! =)

I guess I need to drop in and visit a bit more often. With all the sunny days, I've been out and about and not online as much as during inclement weather. I guess that makes me a rainy day surfer. ;) A few days back I passed through Pall Mall, TN (road trip). Nice little place. I dropped by the York homeplace, which is beside the main road passing through. I didn't realize TN gave him 400 acres. His heroism definitely reaped an unexpected reward in that situation. It's hill country with some nice large valleys for farmland. Definitely a pretty part of the country and the York farm must have been something back in the day.

My bitch: I didn't make it back into the second year of my university degree due to my exam results, and have spent most of the last entire month trying to find an alternative option, I'm currently on Plan F.

Bummer! Was it too much fun or the course work too hard, as the reason? If it was the former that can be rectified. I see a lot of people with degrees that never use what that degree was for. Keep your head up, my daughter suffered similar fate also. She's doing fine now.

Garmoon is right about studies for a degree sometimes not being used. However, it is a proven fact that on average those with the degrees have a significantly higher lifetime income. Money isn't everything though... I'll wish you luck getting back in school.

Things are done a bit differently in the States. Most schools would put you on academic review and give you a chance to improve the marks. Some of the schools would offer tutoring, if that was needed. One of my friends partied a little too hard, flunked a semester, and continued on to finish his degree. He merely finished a semester later. In the US system, if the failure comes early enough, course work can be caught up during summer session. With those degrees, rarely is one asked what the grades were.

I thought "Bill" could still stack his Yellow Books to reach the Geritol. LOL
