Yep, they'll give you spending money (more with every baby you have), they'll give you an additional two or three hundred a month for evey baby you have, they'll pay for your food(again with more for each baby you have) and they'll give you totally free healthcare without so much as a deductable because you can't afford it. Since the 1960s, its been a lifestyle! Now some are very nice people who went on it because they exhausted their unemployment and they have mouths to feed then they get off of it once things have worked out the kinks that life sometimes throws out, and that's o.k. but collecting it from the day you were born to the day you're pushing daisies is another thing entirely. And some, like you said, have this sense of entitlement that everything should be given to them. Not all, but many. We call it the "welfare mentality". George Bush talks about "The jobs Americans aren't willing to do" well, we've got a lot of people who should be taking those jobs. Earning your own way is important to one's self esteem; there's no such thing as "demeaning" work. Most of us started with unskilled, low paying jobs and worked out way out of it and onto better things ... it's just the way of things. "Not willing" to do work, unless you're physically incapable of it, should not be in the vocabulary.

George Bush's Jobs Americans aren't willing to do:
I know some Americans that would willingly take one of those jobs-
only to be told they want somebody bilingual. So the job goes to
someone who speaks spanish and can barely get out two sentences in
English.
This is a sore spot with me. My doctors office hired a Spanish
speaking receptionist because she is bilingual? and works cheap. You
can barely get her to understand when you really need an appointment.
The low income ministry here helped the really needy with inexpensive
clothing, etc. Now the needy are doing without because the Mexicans
here are buying everything decent and shipping it back to Mexico.
The University of Nebraska just fired their athletic director. Don't
feel too sorry for him. He gets two million dollars and other perks
as severance pay.

What can I say? I live a weird life I guess...
About the welfare thing, I think it's a very bad system. If you've ever read David Weber's Honor Harrington novels you can see how it can get really out of hand. Back in the day when welfare was actually started it was considered a very shameful thing to just take money, thats why it was jobs that were handed out.

"I don't know jack" I usually interpret to mean "I don't know anything" - it doesn't refer to a specific person called Jack.
Sometimes a four letter profanity starting with s is suffixed to the Jack.

I often think it's funny that one president or another is blamed for things they've actually had little to do with or inherited from other administrations. We could just as easily say Mr. Clinton's jobs programs. Much the same situation, if not worse, was going on during his administration. The US wasn't just flooded by Mexican migrant workers during the Bush presidency. We just didn't have as many Democrats complaining at the time. Mr. Carter needs to be locked away before someone starts listening to him. Either old timers or alzheimers is taking it's toll there. The problem with Mr. Bush is he's done little to protect the borders.
My bitch: Why won't politicians (both parties) do what's needed instead of pandering to what their constituents want to hear and then doing as they wish? The Democrats promised radical change if put in office. What was it, a 60 or 90 day plan. Not much has been done and Mr. Bush hasn't needed to use his veto power to slow them down. Other than Nancy wanting to take God out of the US and wanting to turn all cities into law breaking safe havens, I've not seen much change.

Im fully aware of the meaning of "jack" in that context sam, and im a fool for missing it lmao.
BUT. Theres always a but. The reason i misinterpreted it, was because phlax's name is Jack, and i thought that LOCO mistook me for phlax.

So are you blaming Mexicans for buying decent clothing and shipping the clothing to Mexico and leaving the needy without decent clothing? I would think the needy would be so picky about what they are wearing.

There is an apparently narrow minded kid at my high school who thinks its the presidents fault for everything. I asked him why..
These are the responses i received:
"Because he hates black people"
"He knocked down the towers"
"He made us go to war"
"He started that new orleans" *I believe he was referring to him starting hurricane katrina*
Following it up with another "He hates black people" To finish off the conversation.
How exactly can one single person:
A.) Hate an entire race of people when look who he works with?
B.) Knock down the twin towers when im PRETTY DANG positive it was those pesky terrorists flying a damn airplane into them.
C.) So we should of just waved off the attack like it was nothing? Should we of sent them letters asking them to not do it again?
And finally..
D.) Start a hurricane.. Seriously.. Hes not captain planet
Feel free to agree or disagree with the statements but i mean wow..

You can say many things about the current President but starting a damn hurricane sure ain't it!
Although I'm not going to comment about him hating black people, he did take the country to war. Also he is pretty damn stupid.

Maybe I should explain what our low income ministry is. People
donate all the goods. Other people volunteer to run it for nothing.
Clothing is sold for 25 cents. Local people are donating to help
local people who are down on their luck. People are not donating
like they were because they don't like what is going on. It's a
no win situation that is spiraling out of control.
I was not taking a shot at president Bush but at the statement that
jobs being taken are jobs no American wants. I worked for a while
at the Workforce Development Office. I have seen people that would
be willing to work really hard for a minimum wage. This is farm
country. A lot of people are not welfare minded. They are proud
people and want to earn their way. They would sooner go hungry than
accept a handout.
Pacman you are correct. No one political power created this. It's
just a shame that honest hardworking people can't get a job sometimes.

I've always liked the part about the President starting a hurricane. That being the case, if I was abuzar, I wouldn't be calling him stupid. LOL As for hating Blacks, look to the US Secretary of State.

If stupid, Bush was smart enough to dupe a lot of people. He didn't become president by accident. Then again you can say Al Gore was something of a mistake. He got the Nobel Peace prize for saying "hey guys, it's getting warmer outside". As for the war, Bush didn't go alone.

Even tho this is the SV and the B!TCH thread I think the political overtone might be getting a little to high. jm2c here.
His biggest mistake is surrounding himself with weak people as well. NOT the best or the worst president of modern history but his terms have been filled with crap that most presidents don't have to deal with.
