Unrelated to my previous Donkey Kong update post - ever since I chipped my US system with a Wiikey the News Channel will not work. This is the same on my Son's US Wii which I got chipped a week after mine!
The Weather Channel and Votes Channel are fine - what is going on?!

weird, Stupid question but have you tried reinstalling the channels after the updated chip?

My news channel wouldn't update till I download the Everbody Votes channel. After downloading that channel and updating it the news channel finaly updated.

Another possibility is leaving the WiiConnect24 set to ON before modding the Wii. It is recomecnded that you turn it off in the options before modding the system.

There are a few problems that members have run into when not turning it off.

Channels wont update.

WiFi won't connect.

etc. etc.

To fix this issue go to the below link and follow the steps. More then likley you can get it to update correctly by doing it...
