hi all
how do I change the symb/ frequency on a Dbox 2. the option seems to be there but i cant access the manual scan?
I can use cable bruteforce and find 282 transponders but no channels.
help!!

What image are you using. The freq is changed via set my location, usually under the blue button. It could be that you are using an older image with that feature not installed. Check my link for the latest image.

hi tam2oo5,

i am using sportster1.07? image. the only cable providers are German or Austrian. should the brutefore scan find all of the channels or do i need an English image?

You will need a UK image, Go to http://www.techno-source.co.uk . Here you will be able to download uk images, if you have any problems let us know.

hi
i cant seem to connect my pc to my dbo
i hav echanged the dbox ip to the same as my pc but cant seem to connect. any ideas
i have a usb to rs232 lead and a crossover ethernet cable

Crossover cable
And set your ip one below your d box on your network
eg=192.168.4 240
192.168.4.139
Try it like that and get back to us .....................Paul

got the patch cable.
my pc IP is 192.168.0.1
when i put the cable in it is different.should i set the box to this or set my pc to 1 below the box?

hi mate
call me an idiot but i havent a clue.
my box now says no IP
DHCP is on but IP address is blank.
can i just type one in that matches my PC?
box also says network unavailable.
shall i just throw box in the bin!!!!!!!!!!!

hi mate,
managed to flash commando 8.2 to the box. (i had to use a null modem cable as well as a patch lead in the end)
ran a scan and found about 250 channels but most were locked. then i flashed donv4 but that found no channels. sportster 1.4 finds none as well. any other images to try?
p.s i was messing aroung with the cam settings and ucode. could i have messed something up there.
any help greatly appreciated

Commando 8 is the best out now mate IMO

havin big probs here.
commando 8 recognised 250 channels but couldnt view
now i cant find any channels and have tried about 4 images
tried ucode, location etc. am i doing something wrong
got to get sorted for start of footy next week!

Just get the keys or magic files and FTP
them over to
var/keys On your d box
Chomod to 755
And leave it on a pay channel
