Ok.....i started out on regular 2.71 then did what people said and used the henc/devhook method to get to 1.50 which worked.......then tried to put 3.40oe-a on....did exactly what this guide told me to (http://ubergaming.wordpress.com/2007/07/02/psp-firmware-340-oe-a-upgradeinstall-guide/) and i got an error during the process.....it turned off.......and now i can't get it to turn on.....HELP ME PLEASE

Which part of the process did it mess up on?

Was it during the 3.40 OE-A installer or during the 3.40 OE-A update maker?

During the installer. It got past like the detection part of the 150.pbp and 340.pbp but then like 10 errors popped up and froze...then shut down

Ouch, you've got a brick.

If you feel like being dishonest but want a new PSP, take it back to the store you got it from and say that the power of it go cut off while you were updating the Sony's Official 3.52. They should replace it if it's still under warranty.
