Yep, all of my commas... yes literally commas dissapeared in windows.

When i go to a network connection to view the packets sent and recieved, there are loads of packets being sent but nothing is seperated by commas.

Its not bugging my, but i sure would like to know how to get it back.

Thx.

so when you type commas in Word, do they vanish as well?

How are you viewing the packets? What software are you using to do this?

No, microsoft word has plugins and software for commas.

And i am not using any software to view packets.

I just double click on my active network connection and the packets show up like 48561267563

with no commas

what OS are you using? Where do you double click on your active network connection to get this display? I just get a "Local Area Connection Status" box if I click mine, whether I double click in Control Panel or in the notification area.

in case anyone else doesn't understand about what your talking about, why don't you just take a screen shot of the box that doesn't have any commas in it

Oh you mean the comma separator in the packet count figure when it is over 1000. I thought you meant you were seeing the packets!

(It's OK, Mightyed8!)

You mean if this was your computer it would show "3 781" sent and "3 877" received instead of "3,781" and "3,877" as on mine?

Did it previously show the commas?

Maybe you have changed your Windows locale to one where the comma is not used in this way, eg from USA or UK to a European country?

For example in France they use a space instead of a comma. Most non-Anglo countries use a space for the thousand separator and a comma for the decimal separator, including all of Europe except Britain and Ireland.

Changing the Regional and Language Options
You can use the Regional and Language Options tool in Control Panel to customize the way Windows handles dates, times, currency values, and numbers.

To open the Regional and Language Options tool:
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options, and then click Regional and Language Options.
3. To change one or more of the individual settings, click Customize.

To Change the Number Display
In the Customize Regional Options dialog box, click the Numbers tab to specify any changes you want to make. You can change the decimal symbol and list separator, the format used for negative numbers and leading zeros, and the measurement system (U.S. or metric).
