does the ad hoc mode work on isos that are played on custom firmwares(eg. 3.30 oe)

do we have to have both the same firmwares or so??

It works. Firmware doesn't matter, the game has to be the exactly the same (region). Some times a ripped iso won't work. (ripped means without movies or whatnot, doesn't mean cso)
