Confused Over This "Kernel" thingy

im thinking of upgrading to CFW 3.51 m33 but as i come across over the forums and my recovery menu. there seems to be this kernel thingy (mine's currently set to 3.40 while i run 3.40 OEA)

also when i format my memory stick. there are 2 folders GAME150 and GAME340

question: if i am upgrading to 3.51 m33, which kernel mode should i be in? (1.50 or 3.40) and should the files go into 150 or 340? anyhelp is appreciated. thanks

I don't know specifically about m33, but when upgrading between OE's kernal doesn't matter, everything goes into game150 folder. I would read the readme from updater again, if it doesn't say anything about kernals, don't worry about it.
