i have a lcd tv samsung 37inches which supports 1080p but when i try to put that resolution on my ps3 xmb it doesn´t work! the screen goes green, black and has lots of interference.. all i can do is 720p and 1080i.. i have a hdmi cable.. can anybody help me please? thanks

Not all HDMI cables can support 1080p, you might want to look in to that. If you have an older cable that might be the problem.

All, I repeat ALL HDMI cables support 1080p. What is the model number of your HDTV? I can look up the user guide and see if you need to set something on the TV. My guess is that your HDTV may not support 1080p which is not a big deal on a screen that small. You would not notice a difference.

I stand corrected, straight from HDMI.org they state that HDMI ver. 1.0 deos support 1080p. I was told otherwise by a salesman from a "big-box" store.

I found your owner's manual http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/conten...01L01-0313.pdf. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Try this: Use HDMI 2 on the HDTV and make sure you have the latest firmware update for the PS3.
