Thanks in advance for any help given.

I am trying to create backups of my favorite PS2 games so that I might keep them in mint condition as long as possible, and I have DVD Decrypter and Nero Burning Rom, and on each I have tried to load a copy of the PS2 disk onto my Hard Drive, but every time the program doesn't see the disks in my D-Drive!

I would like to know if there is a certain D Drive that I need to read and write PS2 games and such, because I have followed steps on many tutorials perfectly to no avail simply because it reads that there is no dick in the drive, though the drive is seen as being active and ok.

Thanks again for any help given.

Fortunately, every DVD Burner should work. Unlike the Wii...

correct, any drive that can burn DVD's should work.
Quality DVD's is also a key factor.
and i would go with DVD Decrypter to both rip the game from the disc and burn it (at 4X speed)

Well, first off, has your D drive ever detected a DVD disc before?

Wow...

Now that you mention it, I put a disk in and it didn't detect it. It used to before...I'll open up my computer and check if all the wires are where they should be...

Man, I feel like a fool for not realizing it. I guess it must've gotten disconnected when I got my computer repaired.

lol

That was worth the read.

Nevertheless, I have checked all wiring and my D drive seems to be ok. But I do have a question relating to that though:

Should all the sockets be filled? Because the only sockets connected are the power cables and the long, flat one (don't know the name yet) that connects over to the C drive then to the motherboard.
