It seems like every other game I download now comes with the stealth files, but they aren't pre-patched.
I've looked for tutorials, but I can't seem to find anything that works. The closest I've gotten is using XDVDMulleter 9.7 Beta... But after I choose the PFI file and click Next, I get an error saying: "PFI file is invalid!"
The PFI came with the release, and other people said it worked, so I know the PFI file can't be invalid. I must be doing something wrong.
Yeah, if you download Xbox Backup Creator, it also has a tool to inject ss.bin pfi.bin and dmi.bin files. so as long as you have THOSE files for YOUR game, then injecting should be a breeze ;)
I got Xbox Backup Creator (newest version) and when I run it, I get a runtime error saying:
'Runtime error ???: Component ???.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered, a file is missing or invalid'.
I put the 2 "???"s because I'm not on my computer right now and don't remember the error. I'll post back later this evening when I get home and check the error.
well, i'm not entirely sure. but how exactly did you obtain the pfi file? cuz that in its self might answer your question as to why the pfi didn't check out.
I downloaded a NCAA Football '08 torrent. It came with the full game iso & the stealth files. I unrar'd the iso, then unrar'd the stealth files (They were in a seperate .rar)... Then I just used those files to stealth with DVDXMulleter.
Other people said it worked in the torrent comments, so I just figured it was something I did.
well, odds are if the stealth elements were seperate from the ISO, they may not have a compatible region or they could be total bs too, that happens sometimes
I tried downloading a few other pfi's for NCAA Football '08, but they all said the same thing. Could it be the ss or the dmi that's messing the pfi up? I'll just try to get all new stealth files when I get home today... Cause even if I get XBC working, if the stealth files are messed up, I'll still have problems.
I'll post back here later tonight if I do/don't get it working :\
