I've been trying to get the PSP Universal Remote to work on my PSP, with the 3.40-OEA firmware. All I get is a message that says:
The game could not be started. (8002014C)
Has anyone else got it to work, and if so, could you help me out (i.e. walk me through the process)?

Actually you might be in luck.
I just found out that I needed to go into the Recovery Mode (hold R while powering on), and switch the homebrew folder kernel to 1.5 or something.
I got it to work, hopefully you can too!

ya the psp universal remote works on my psp (3.40 OE-A) just make sure you have the remote folder i got them on the first release of the psp universal remote at quick jump downloads cuz on the new release there isn't a remote folder I think....
Note: the remote folder goes out the PSP folder
My Psp History: 2.00->2.60->2.71->2.80->1.50->semi-brick->2.71->1.50->3.40 OE-A ->3.52M33->3.52M33-4->3.71M33-2

Yeah, I found out that what I downloaded didn't include the remotes, which I downloaded seperately.
Now my only problem is finding something in my house that's compatible with this thing. :P

Think I have an answer for you. I two have 3.40 oe and I have the universal remote goin on my psp. I put the two files(like ur and ur_1% or something) in the game folder. After that put all the codes for each thing in the root folder. Not ms_root, but the part of the PSP before you open a folder, right at the start. I dont think the app will start if you dont have the codes in the root. If you don't have codes or need the re dl the stuff, post and i will give dl link.
BTW range is very mucho short

O k been a while since i posted and i no longer have this, but i think i remember how to do it. Put the Ur % folders or w/e in the game150 or game340 folder and c if that works. Far as i no i didnt change the kernel. Then make a folder in the root of the psp. The root is before you open any folders in the psp. Put the remotes there. IT should pick them up. If it doesnt work just post and i will try to figure it out

My strat was to find the make of w/e I'm trying to control. Ex, I have a Sony TV. Find Sony, then if you can find the make of the tv, just try them randomly untill you find one that works. I have found many may work for 1 tv. You just have to experiment. BTW, the raange is very short. I believe you hit "O" to bring up the command menu, dont remember.
