Hello there. I recently came back from Tenerife and there was a man in a shop selling PS2 backups. He said there was some kind of new boot disc where I would insert the disc once and after that I could boot all games directly. Is this true?

It is nothing new, it has been out for years.
Swap Magic
and you will need one other mod to your system depending on which PS2 you have (Fat or Slimline)

With Swap Magic you can't boot games directly, you have to insert the disc every time you want to boot a backup. But what kind of mod are you talking about? I have a fat PS2
