You are not going to find them new at any stores because sony recalled them from retailers...You will have to find a used one where you get used games like eb games/gamestop..Or try and rent it or something...Otherwise eBay, craigslist and amazon are really your only options...The patched version of Lumines has the 3.51 updater..So if you are finding new ones in the store now, chances are pretty good that they are the patched ones..Like I said best to find a used one...

there has to be a downgrader. there are at least one console modding store in sweden that claims they can downgrade from ALL version incl. 3.52. only problem is that you have to hand in your psp and wait for them to do it and i don't live close. but it CAN be done obviously. they will even install Custom firmware 3.52 M33 for you and fix it if it's bricked. all in one go. anyway, since there obviously is a way, why hasn't it been released "to the public"?

The only problem though, is that he doesnt have a psp running 1.5 or cfw, so making a jigkick wont do any good...Unless he can find someone else with a homebrew-friendly psp to make one for him..

So, why can't they make a NES/SNES Emulator to work on PSP's with v3.50 or higher?
I have been looking online for a while now to see if i can run Super Mario Brothers 1, 2 or 3 on my PSP and can't find anything unless I downgrade to v1.5.
I currently have v3.52 on my PSP.
Any idea if there is any way at all to do this?

old thread, but,
you won't be able to run homebrew on your official 3.52 firmware because it doesn't allow unsigned code. the emulators are designed on the 1.5 kernel because it's the only one that can run unsigned code.
if you want to run emulators/isos/homebrew on your psp, you will have to downgrade to 1.5 and then upgrade to a custom firmware (3.40 oe-a, 3.52 m33)
to downgrade your 3.52, you will need pandora's battery/magic memory stick. and in order to create those, you will have to find someone with a psp running 1.5/cfw or someone who will downgrade for you.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure
got a whole lot more to list . . .

forgot about 2.71 se. thanks for the clarification. but since it's gonna start at 1.5 after pandora, my first thought was to update to the latest cfw.

Probably not, with the advent of pandora's battery-I imagine that the focus on downgraders or exploits has been somewhat left by the wayside....You will need someone with a homebrew-friendly psp to create a battery and memory stick for you...If you have trouble with finding someone with said psp, there are plenty of people here (myself included) that can make you a battery and memory stick-You just need to send a battery, memory stick and cover shipping both ways..
