Hi every one, I am newbie to this. I am using the xtremebootmaker and I went under "general options" tab to do the MTKFlash. I hit the "list ide controllers" and I get "standard dual channel pci ide controller", and when I select that it does file the ID and IO with number. Is it ok for me use that, or would I have to buy a sata card (motherboard has one).

Thank you in advance for any help

try to get your drive recognized by your computer. if it recognizes it you dont need to get a new sata card.

What is probably wrong is that your onboard sata chipset might not be compatible. If not your best bet is to buy a via 6421 A or L sata card.
