Howdy all, i know its been asked, just wanted to nail down specifics...
1) if youve no experience whatsoeve with linux, what's the best/easiest one to go with?
2) do all versions require a hard disk formatting to allow the new OS partition? If so, can you easily just dump the system onto a removable drive with system backup, or how? is it easily restored?
3) Id only be interested in this whole process because of the promise of good emulation. Has anyone here had experience with emulating through PS3 linux, and if so, what systems, and howd it go?
Additionally, im very interested in playing old PC titles like Grim Fandango, Lucasarts games through SCUMM VM etc, so if that's possible/been pulled off, that'd be great to hear, too.
1. Ubuntu, Fedora
2. As far as I'm aware you don't have to format the drive before you partition it ready for a linux install, but then again, I'm no linux expert so don't really know.
3. Can't answer that.
Sorry for the somewhat crappy reply, but seeing as you haven't got any others it'll have to do. I'll answer any further linux question as much as I can :)
