Hello, I'm looking to purchase a dvd printer that prints really great images. I am looking to spend approximately $250 US dollars. Any good recommendations as far as a dvd printer goes?

You can pick up any of the Epson DVD printers and you will be able to print great images on your inkjet printable media. The R260, R380, or the RX580 can all do a great job of printing on DVD media. The RX580 will scan and copy as well. Now since you have $250.00 to spend any of these printers can be purchased for much less than that and you could use what you have left to buy media that will give you the greatest image possible. The Taiyo Yuden Watershield DVD-R glossy inkjet media will provide you with the greatest images. They are available at Meritline.com, GenesysDTP.com, or Supermedia.com.as well as other locations. This media costs more than other inkjet printable media but it will give you what you are looking for--great images.

Some people love Epson printers. I tried the 260 & had nothing but problems with it's DVD tray. Hardly ever loaded right (even though I followed the instructions) then the tray quit loading. Took it back & spent big bucks (over $1000) for a Flashjet 4800 from a duplication company & it works perfectly each and every time. Plus I'm not locked into one software product like you are with the Epsons...
