@FreeFall1:

Could you please download the themes and upload them to sendspace so i get the right ones to upgrade.

@kvsingh:

The memory it is referring to is the PSP's flash memory, If your mess up in there it can cause a brick. the DIC folder has the Asian language pack. Which is y its fine to delete unless you plan to be reading that on your PSP.

@Phat32

Upload..? they are already on the net..i put the link on my last post..I didn't do a good job with it because I suck at html coding...but link is in blue "They have 92 themes ect..."

The two I would like converted to 3.52 m33-4 are the Scarface one's. I also download your upgraded theme pack (e.g. the 11 themes or more you put on a page in these forum)..I tried the transformers one and did exactly what the "Read Me" said and it did nothing..almost bricked my psp..

I would appreciate If you could explain how to upgrade the themes. I dowloaded the RCO tool...and did as they said..extracted all the rco files to a new folder and then extracted the tool to that particular folder as well and then did the "double Click".. I got new files.. Deleted the batch and bak files. Transfered the new files back the the theme folder. I backed up my flash files and started putting the new ones in. I was successful in changing xmb interface, but there where some applications where when I pressed "X" it did nothing and the background image/wallpaper was also missing.

My suggestion would be to edit your xmb via flash. (directly) Xmb theme editors are inessential right now unless:

1.) You're too chicken to mess with the flash
2.) You're too lazy to mess with the flash
3.) You have a PSP slim

I was just able to find my tools again, So i can now upgrade themes again...... But im still out a HDD.

And FreeFall. did you read my readme? i just read it, there are 2 spelling mistakes. But everything looks fine. And i remember testing the Transformer theme myself *its a kool theme* and it worked fine on my PSP..... When you made your flash backup. did u COPY or CUT the flash?

And the reason i ask you to upload is so i dont have to hunt though the site for them and then upgrade the wrong themes. because i am trying to get these done as fast as i can between school and work.

Also you would not get a wallpaper until you upload the 01-12.bmp as well when you upload the theme.

@Phat32

I figured out that the themes work great without the rco tool converter..just had to put the files in their proper place.. did some research and found a step by step tutorial guide..Transformers theme works awesome..!!! (e.g. deleted dic folder and replaced a font file with a smaller one to make more room for the themes)

All star Marios didn't work for me..kept on freezing whenever I pushed anything on the xmb..except for reading the memory stick.

through recovery mode, BACK UP YOUR FLASH 0 on your pc before you do anything else, then drag the files in the RESOURCE folder from the downloaded theme packet and then drop them in the RESOURCE folder on your PSP flash0, click yes on overwrite and your done, do it wrong and it wont work, so make sure you make a back up of your origonal flash 0 & 1 so you can replace the whole folder if you mess up

the RESOURCE folder is in the VSH folder.

Also if you downloaded the main Theme pack *i think i did it in the batch one to* i included a README that has 1 a disclaimer, and 2 step by step how to put the themes on your PSP. i will make changes to it later however and make it a bit easier to follow

@ phat32

For some reason the system_plugin.rco and opening_plugin.rco files I've been using since I had my PSP at 1.50 (now at 3.52 v4 m33)don't seem to work. The real weird thing is when I replace the official opening_plugin.rco with my custom one the original boot sound still plays. Kinda strange to me....

Anyway, I was wondering if it's a matter of having the files converted to work with 3.52 m33. The last time they worked I was on 3.40 OE-A. If you wouldn't mind taking a jab at these for me I'd really appreciate it.

Any chance that the system_plugin.rco can be altered to work on 3.52 m33?

if you want boot sounds search "custompsp" its a site in german
but you can change it to english.

I'm still wondering how to upgrade themes properly, because using rco edit takes ages and is difficult to use.

p.s how do you edit posts?
