Hey guys, so i decided to install 3.51 M33 firmware to my PSP.
So far i did the downgrade and its on v1.50, i went and look for the firmware that some russians made (3.51 M33) but in different sites they tell you different ways to install it.
It got me confused, can anyone help me to download the RIGHT firmware and how to install it properly, please?
P.S:
this is a tutorial that kinda makes sense to me but i get confused on
some steps.
1 - If you are under official 1.50 PSP firmware, copy kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% folders from "1.50only/" of this download to your "ms0:/PSP/GAME/" and use it.
2 - Once done it, or if you are under any Special/Open Edition, copy M33CREATOR folder to your "ms0:/PSP/GAME" (1.50fw) or "ms0:/PSP/GAME150" (SE/OE)
3 - Download official 3.51 eboot, rename it to 351.PBP and place it on "ms0:/PSP/GAME/M33CREATOR/" or "ms0:/PSP/GAME150/M33CREATOR/"
4 - Download official 1.50 eboot, rename it to 150.PBP and place it on "ms0:/PSP/GAME/M33CREATOR/" or "ms0:/PSP/GAME150/M33CREATOR/"
5 - Go to Games/Memory Stick on your PSP, and execute "3.51 M33 CREATOR". Once finished, it will go back to the XMB.
6 - Go again to Games/Memory Stick on your PSP, and execute "3.51 M33UPDATE". You'll have to press X to agree to the installation.
7 - When finished, press X to shut down and reboot manually.
8 - Enjoy your 3.51 M33 ;)
I just done get step 2, once im done with step 1 do i need to run what is on those folders? if its true, one of the files is a patch and the other is a corrupted file...
after that i need to download 1.50 and 3.51 and have them in the creator folder...
but im concern about the corrupted file and the patch, do i need to run the patch ?
ok well i ran the patch and it patched, added the M33CREATOR folder and i added the 1.50 and 3.51 pbps and i tried to run the 3.51 M33 CREATOR
and it said:
"3.51 M33 firmware creator"
"loading 1.50 firmware... PBP signature dont match"
"press x to exit"
Had similar problems when I was going to 3.40-oe-a and it was the memstick's fault (fake sony....never had a problem before). It always kept giving me bad signatures and corrupted stuff on 3.40 checking. Even the 1 time it finally reached the dax file, it failed md5 checksum checking. I tried with the 32MB original one and whole process succeeded on first run (must have failed at least 20 times with the fake one).
Hey guys, i made it worked, the problame was that i had them named 150.pbp and 350.pbp like the tutorial says, but i deleted the .pbp at the end so i tried again and it loaded and it worked.
It created the update 3.51 so im running it right now, and it just finished, i turn it back on, and im looking at the system information and it says "3.51 M33" YAY =)
