This tells me that he has a umd in the drive because it would have given him an error of 8000 something or other if he didnt. It also tells me that his settings are perfectly fine because the game did indeed start up. (That little bit of detail would have probably saved about 10 of these forum posts)

I don't know if it was a typo on your side or not, but psx games run on eboot and keys not iso/cso files. Unless you meant for him to download the ISO and convert it into an eboot and keys.

I do however agree with you that he may not of necessarily needed to downgrade. But if he read that its the only firmware compatable with his game then who am i to tell him he's wrong. (Especially with no mention of which game he's using after two of us asked)

Anyways, back on track... Follow the video guide i posted to make sure your doing everything correct. As well check the compatability list for the proper SLUS code as sometimes they differ from the originals.

sorry about not posting the game xD it's final fantasy 7 and yes it does stay on and i can go into the ps1 emulator menu to restart or quit the game.

I'm going to grab another memory stick and I'll toss a ff7 on there to play, see if I have any problems..

You're on 1.5 now right? (From 3.40 you can actually switch to be in 1.5 in the recovery menu btw)

and yeah, eboot, sorry about that. :)

the id for FF7 is SCUS94163. There was no need to downgrade since you could have used popstation to stop the green static thing. Also what converter are you using?

i think it just that my disc is scratched very bad so it won't work but i used simple popstation gui

Yeah I think that might be it. My FF7 runs fine(except for the green static thing)and your converter seems to work on your CFW.

when you got to rapidshare you hit upload and then put the file and it will upload it to their server and then you can send me the link me the webpage to download it from
