I didn't know you could downgrade to 2.0, but yes, as long as you don't upgrade past 3.50 then it can be downgraded, there are different ways of doing it for different firmwares.
If you're 3.03 and below you can use an unpatched GTA:LCS disk to downgrade, between that and 3.50 you can use a Lumines disk to do the downgrade.
If your psp is 2.71 or below it doesn't require a game to downgrade, just the actual downgrader.

i had a 1.5 but my brother lost it so now i am trying to buy a new one used.and i will propably get a 2.8.how would downgrade that?

with the 2.80 downgrader, of course :) i don't think you need gta unpatched for this version, but careful cuz most likely you will only find like 3.11. but anyways most likely u will need lumines or gta lcs unpatched to downgrade, unless you can find a really old psp in the store.

yes. but for this you need lumines (for the 3.50 Downgrade) and if you get lower than 3.03 you can upgrade to 3.03 and then use an unpatche GTA LCS, requiring the 2.00 Update. If you get 2.80 or lower, you're good without any games.

FINALY I GOT MY PSP 2.81 BUT I AM VERY NERVOUS HOW TO DOWNGRADE TO A 1.5.I HAVE GTA LCS VERSION.HOW DO I upgrade my psp to a 3.03?So I could downgrade to a 1.5. Do I have to go to the net to install something?how do I know that my gta is unpatched?

upgrade to 3.03 with this. downgrade with this. READ THE README AND ASK FOR ANY QUESTIONS IF NEEDED AND YOU WILL BE FINE! (if it has the 2.00 update....it's unpatched).

When i tried to downgrade from 3.03 to 1.5 using the GTA, it goes direct to playing the game and doesn't give me the option of 3.03 HEN, where can I download a easy downgrader or get a noob guide.
I appreciate your help.

today i tried to downgrade my 3.03 to a 1.5 and i already turned it into a 3.03 hen.then when i tried to load update x.yz it said that it could not find the update.pbp .the update.pbp file was on psp/game/update so i dont know what the problem is.if anyone can help me i would be very thankful.

okay i do not get it. first of all how did you get hen with a patched gta? second of all i think the problem might relate to the first question. Did you put the 1.50 update, Renamed to UDPATE.PBP in caps in the folder.
