Hi, i downgraded to 1.5, then to 3.40OE-A
and some1 told me to put some recovery files on the psp and i did, it was a program that extracted the files into the psp
anyways, the recovery menu starts but i did expierment, and checked if the recovery gameboot ( to go back to 1.5) worked, but my psp turned black, then it turned of.
what can be the problem?

OH.. Wait guys
it looks like i had to enable something in the recovery
(the auto run eboot recovery was disabled, so i enabled it)
and it works.
now the problem is, on my mem stick, it says corrupted data. should i delete that? or wut shud i do, also if i format, will all the recovery files be lost?

So, you are currently running 3.40OE-A or still on 1.50?? What exactly are you trying to recover from? If you are done messing around, you can go ahead and format your memory stick now, there is no reason to keep the recovery eboot on there for the hell of it..Just keep it handy on your computer should you require it in case of semi-brick...

deez_nuts; no i am on 3.40OE-A
i was just experimenting and seeing if i could go back to 1.5, for the first few attempts i tried my psp screen just turned black and my psp turned of,
but after putting recovery files in the right place, and enabling something in the bios, the 1.5 recovery works.
but, i have soo much games/videos on my psp, and the prob is on my mem stick there's a corrupted data, should i delete that or leave it there?
also, if i do semi-brick,and i re-format, can i still put the recovery files on my psp, in recovery mode?
thx, to all who helped me out

Corrupted data files should never be deleted, though it shoudn't be showing up in the first place.
If you semi brick, you can still put the recovery files back on your PSP through the Recovery menu, though it's easier to just back up your flash0 and reflash that if you get a semi-brick. That way you don't have to re-update to your custom firmware when it happens.

Do you know what the corrupted data is? Are you using an emulator by chance? the corrupted data icon should be the dummy folder for the emulator...If you want, you can hide it via the recovery console..in the "configuration" tab--just select "hide corrupt data icons"
