the volume is all the way up and it is saying there are no tracks in the files i tried all songs on my computer

PSP's play MP3's. Can't help ya there, never heard this before.

Is the music in the "MUSIC" folder? Have you tried with more than one song in the "MUSIC" folder in the root of your memory stick?
