Configuration in Recovery Mode (HELP ME)

I have a custom firmware 3.40 oe-a and I'm trying to get my games to work. I was told to go to configuration in Recovery mode and change some settings in there. So I went into Recovery mode and when I selected Configuration the screen went blank and it turned off after a few seconds. What do I do?

you have something corrupted in your firmware..and will have to re-flash...google 1.50 recovery winstaller-install that from your computer to your PSP, then you will select the option just beneath "configuration" in the recovery console which is the "run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP"-this will bring you back to 1.50-from there just re-flash your 3.40OE

are you able to select any of the other menu options in recovery before it shuts off? You would need to get to that option under the configuration...thats what runs the eboot so you can revert to 1.50

I can open:
-Toggle USB
-Advanced
-CPU Speed
-Plugins
-Registry Hacks
and I can safely exit.

Never mind.
I decided to fool around and I re-installed the firmware package and now my games work.
