IM a noob i just figured out u can play old games using emulators but i have no idea were to start

First things first:

What version of firmware do you have?
examples: 1.50, 3.52, 3.40 OE-A

If you don't know, go to system settings on your PSP and click on System Information. It will tell you.

Once you answer this question, we can help further.

Sorry man but currently there's no 3.51 downgrader. You'll just have to wait until someone comes out with one. Be patient and whatever you do don't upgrade anymore.

hi there am just bumping the thread

I have a question bout loading GBA emulator for the psp. I'm kinda new at this so here goes

I have a 3.52 M33 firmware and i downloaded Gpsp 0.9 (i think) and i have the gba_bios. the download has 2 folders named GPSP and GPSP% inside the GPSP has the eboot and the game_config.txt while GPSP% has just the eboot. When i loaded the GPSP folder onto my PSP/GAMES/GPSP and added a folder for roms so it goes PSP/GAMES/GPSP/Roms and when i tested it nothing happens. I can see the GPSP% icon on my memstick but when i loaded it i got a message 8002014C. What am i going to do?

I am a poor person who luckily owns a PSP but too poor to buy a lot of original games!!!

go to recovery then to configuration and change the version to 1.50. see if that works.

can't pandoras battery downgrade 3.51? I heard you don't need to brick for it to work.
